ENC NIGHTCRAWLER CASTINGS

These pictures  were taken in our garden .  We add nightcrawlers to our compost bin and use the composted material, worm castings and worm tea in our garden.  Just look at the health and vigor of these plants!  As you can see, the European Nightcrawlers would not sit still for the camera.

These photos taken on the same day this spring were sent by our customer, George, Miami, FL.  Both pots of lettuce were planted at the same time.

                                                                                             Worm Castings  for sale!

Our entire breeding stock is imported from Europe in October 2016!!

We raise European nightcrawlers  for the castings from them to use in our garden.  The nightcrawlers are so happy to provide us with castings that they give us more than we can use.   And we are happy to offer them to you for your garden, houseplants or landscape plants Worm castings, sometimes called vermicompost, provide a time-released benefit, slowly releasing nutrients over a long period.  This is an interesting link to a video by Cornell University:   Vermicompost, a Living Soil Amendment.

Castings are separated from the worms, screened and checked for quality.  We keep them aerated and moist so they remain active and effective.  They are bagged shortly before shipment to you.  If castings become dry the microbes go dormant and some will  become active again when re-hydrated, so castings can be kept for a very long time.

Castings are added in the planting hole for plants, in the furrow for seeds and spread around plants about every 6 weeks in the garden.  Every spring we spread castings around our landscape shrubs and do it again every 6 weeks or so.   The photos below were taken of our garden this year.  We also have  nightcrawlers and our  worm food  and  limestone for sale.

We only ship to the lower 48 states, USA.   We ship via USPS Priority Mail.  We accept PayPal  (you don't need a PayPal account, just scroll down past the account sign-in on the PayPal form).
